BIM for Healthcare Facilities

Hospitals pack more services into a ceiling than any other building type. Powerkh delivers BIM and VDC for healthcare projects, coordinating dense MEP, medical gas, and structure so clashes are resolved on screen and not in a live ward.

BIM & VDC Services for Hospitals and Clinics

Healthcare BIM is the modeling and coordination of hospitals, clinics, and medical facilities in a data-rich digital model. Dense mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and medical gas systems are modeled and clash-checked against structure and tight ceilings to resolve conflicts before construction or renovation begins.

No building type is harder to coordinate than a hospital. Above every corridor ceiling runs a dense stack of ductwork, medical gas, plumbing, cable tray, and fire protection, all squeezed under strict floor-to-floor heights and clinical clearance rules. Powerkh has delivered 400+ BIM and VDC projects for clients across the US, UK, and Europe, and we apply that experience to modeling and clash-resolving healthcare services so conflicts surface in the model rather than on a live construction floor.

We model to the LOD your project needs, from LOD 200 design intent through LOD 400 fabrication-ready racks, and run rigorous clash detection in Navisworks and Solibri. Our standards and templates keep systems, parameters, and naming consistent across large teams, and Dynamo scripts automate repetitive checks. We work off-site to your standards, support imperial and metric units, and sign an NDA on request before receiving any sensitive facility drawings.

Why Choose Powerkh for Healthcare BIM

Built for dense coordination

We resolve the crowded above-ceiling zones of hospitals, balancing ducts, medical gas, and trays under tight clearances.

Renovation without disruption

Phased models let you refurbish wings of a live facility while keeping wards, plant, and access running safely.

Fabrication-ready output

We model MEP racks to LOD 400 so contractors can prefabricate assemblies off-site and install them fast and clean.

Fast, hourly pricing

You pay only for the hours coordination needs, with a free quote up front and payment only after we deliver the model.

Our Healthcare BIM Services

MEP coordination

We model and coordinate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems through the dense ceiling zones typical of hospitals.

Medical gas modeling

Oxygen, vacuum, and medical air pipework modeled and routed alongside other services with the clearances clinical rooms demand.

Above-ceiling clash resolution

Rigorous clash detection in Navisworks and Solibri to clear conflicts before crowded ceiling voids are built out.

Phased renovation modeling

Existing and proposed phases modeled so you can renovate a live facility ward by ward without shutting it down.

MEP prefabrication

Fabrication-level rack and module models that let contractors build service assemblies off-site for rapid install.

Compliance and standards

Models built to your healthcare authority standards and templates so deliverables pass review the first time.

Our Healthcare BIM Process

  1. Brief and quote

We review your drawings, standards, and target LOD, agree the coordination scope and deliverables, and give a free quote.

  2. Model setup

We build the Revit model to your templates and parameters, setting up systems, phases, and shared coordination.

  3. Systems modeling

We model MEP, medical gas, and structure to the agreed LOD, threading services through the available ceiling space.

  4. Clash detection

We run clash tests in Navisworks and Solibri, log conflicts, and resolve them with your engineers through review cycles.

  5. Delivery and prefab

You receive the coordinated model, clash reports, and fabrication-ready racks, with a round of revisions included.

Software We Use

We coordinate healthcare projects with the industry-standard BIM and clash detection toolset, extended with automation.

  • Autodesk Revit
  • Autodesk Navisworks
  • Autodesk Dynamo
  • Solibri

Coordinate Your Facility Before You Build

FAQ

Do you handle live, occupied hospital renovations?

Yes. Phased modeling is central to healthcare work. We model existing conditions and each renovation phase separately so you can refurbish one wing or floor at a time while adjacent wards, plant, and access stay operational and safe.

Can you model medical gas systems?

Yes. We model oxygen, vacuum, medical air, and related pipework as coordinated systems, routed alongside HVAC, plumbing, and electrical services with the clearances clinical spaces require, and clash-checked against structure and ceilings.

What level of detail do you model to?

We model from LOD 100 concept through LOD 400 and 500. For coordination we typically work at LOD 300 to 350, and we raise MEP racks to LOD 400 where contractors want fabrication-ready assemblies for off-site prefabrication.

Do you provide stamped engineering?

No. Powerkh is an off-site BIM and VDC production partner. We model, coordinate, and clash-resolve, and we do not perform field work or provide stamped engineering. We work alongside your engineers of record, who retain design responsibility.

How much does healthcare BIM cost?

Powerkh uses hourly pricing. After reviewing your drawings, systems, and target LOD, we provide a free quote with accurate hour estimates, and you pay only after we deliver the coordinated model.
